Steeler Ticket IPO's This Weekend: @Baltimore and @Carolina

Picking up a single game ticket at the box office is a lot like getting in on a hot IPO. For Steeler games, there are a lot more buyers than sellers, and the supply of tickets, often a small reserve after the "insider" season ticket holders have gotten their alotment is limited.

Steeler fans have 2 chances to pick up tickets for the 2006 regular season this weekend.

Friday at 10 AM Baltimore Ravens individual game tickets go on sale through TicketMaster. Tickets for the November 26 game against the Steelers are sure to go quickly. Face value for Baltimore Ravens Tickets ranges from $40-$350 depending on location. Current street value on for Ravens Steeler tickets on Stubhub ranges from $133-$1,053, approximately 300% higher.

You can take your shot by calling Ticketmaster at 800-551-7328 or through this link. Want to know where you'll be sitting, here is an interactive seating chart for Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium.

Saturday at 10 AM Carolina Panthers individual game tickets go on sale through on the internet through TicketMaster. Face value for Steelers vs. Carolina Panthers tickets is $36-$380. Current asking prices for Carolina Pittsburgh tickets on StubHub are $161-$1295, 300-400% higher. Charlotte are TicketMaster phone numbers include 704-522-6500 and 704-525-1717.

Good luck!

Steelers Help Not Needed Anymore

Today's Dayton Daily News reports that the Cincinatti Bengals are a sellout for the 2006 season and that no single game tickets will be available.

Bengals executive Mike President Mike Brown joins the chorus of NFL executives relieved to not have to sell tickets to the Black and Gold clad Mongols to the North East. "The excitement is measurable," Brown said during the pre-training camp luncheon at Paul Brown Stadium. "We've sold out the whole season and that's a milestone. It used to be we'd only sell out whenPittsburgh or Cleveland fans came down, and that's not how you want to sell out."

Something tells me that Brown will still be unhappy by the amount of gold in his black clad crowd on New Years Eve when the disappointing Bengals take on the playoff bound Steelers. More than 1,700 tickets to see the Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium on December 31 are currently available on StubHub.

A Desert Sell-Out.

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that tickets to the Pittsburgh Steeler 1st Pre-season game against the Arizona Cardinals sold out in minutes on Saturday. The Steelers will play the Cardinals at 4 PM on August 12 in the inaugural game at the Arizona Cardinals new stadium in suburban Glendale, AZ.

A loyal core of Steeler fans living on the west coast looking forward to celebrating the teams Super Bowl XL championship and optimism created by the Cardinals new stadium and the offseason acquisitions of Edgerin James and Matt Leinhart create the perfect recipe for sellling out the traditional pre-season opening snoozer.

Tickets for the game are plentiful on StubHub, ranging from $50-$631.
